Remember when August Alsina posted a picture of himself on Instagram where he started a social media uproar for him “hanging himself?” It turns out this was just a preview for his latest single featuring Pusha T, “FML.”

 

Co-directed with Payne Lindsey, Alsina attacks the issue of suicide in this video. The graphic video opens up as Pusha T watches himself being carried away on a stretcher. Battling between his dark and gruesome demons, the R&B singer is found in a house hanging while investigators try to put the pieces together at the crime site.

The video ends with a message to viewers:

“I’ve been where you are… Through the struggle and through the pain. It’s what makes us stronger than most. When there seems to be no way forward in life you have to make a way.”

Alsina will be performing at the BET Awards this Sunday and . The 21-year-old R&B crooner will also be kicking off his “Testimony Live” tour on Aug.18 in Seattle.
