Actor Columbus Short really can’t catch a break. The former “Scandal” star is still in the middle of a bitter divorce and trying to save his languishing career after being let go from the hit ABC drama. On top of that, Short was just hit with a lawsuit from a man who the actor beat up in a bar fight.

A man by the name of Felton Hyche III is suing Columbus Short because the two got into a fight while at a Los Angeles sports bar. Hyche alleges he and Short got into a screaming match at the establishment and things exploded when Felton Hyche III screamed, “You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want, including your wife.”

After that, Hyche claims Short sucker punched him and the hit was so powerful it broke bones in his mouth and cheek. Hyche needed serious medical attention after the alteration.

Hyche is suing for an undisclosed amount of money for the reasons mentioned above and because after the incident, the story was picked up by several online outlets which has caused Hyche to be ridiculed by strangers as “the guy who got knocked out by Columbus Short.”

If Felton Hyche III wins his lawsuit, he might want to take some of that money and invest in some self-defense classes.
