Robin Williams, the Academy Award winning actor and comedian has passed away at the age of 63 according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. Details around his death are still unconfirmed however his wife, Susan Schneider did release the following statement:

 “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings.  I am utterly heartbroken. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions”

Williams’ press representative, Mara Buxbaum indicated that the actor had been suffering from severe depression and a number of sources have reported that his death was suicide by asphyxiation.

William’s career in Hollywood spanned more than three decades and he was nominated for Academy Awards three times. While he recently starred in the television series “The Crazy Ones” his versatility, skill, and range as an actor was unparalleled.
