Rapper Meek Mill has been sitting in a jail cell for a while now and according to XXL, Mill’s appeal has been rejected.

Judge Genese Brinkley had already denied his lawyer’s request for an emergency hearing last month, so yesterday when the judge decided that the rapper needed to remain in jail and that he must attend anger management counseling it wasn’t exactly a huge surprise.

On July 11, Judge Brinkley sentenced Meek to three to six months in prison for a probation violation stemming from a 2009 drug and gun case. Prosecutors said the rapper tested positive for a painkiller and that he was demonstrating poor judgement because he was seen posing with guns.

Even though the Philly rapper apologized for his behavior and his attorneys argued that he had not committed any new offenses in five years, the judge simply wasn’t buying it.

This is all a problem for Meek because his album “Dreams Worth More Than Money is about to drop on Sept. 9th. He has not been able to do any of the needed press or publicity appearances required to support the project as a result of being locked up.
