Someone’s made the transition from Netflix’s hit series “Orange Is The New Black” over to Shondaland!

Both Laverne Cox and Uzo Aduba have said they’d love to appear on Shonda’s hottest show “Scandal,” but neither of them are getting out of lockup just yet.

EOnline.com reports that Matt McGorry (bka Officer John Bennett) will be playing Asher Millstone, when he stars alongside Viola Davis on “How To Get Away With Murder”! Not much is known about John’s character right now other than the fact that he is a law student in Viola’s class.

“Harry Potter” fans may also recognize Alfred Enoch as Wes Gibbins!

Matt doesn’t expect his duties on ABC to really affect his job on “OITNB” right now, but he’s not sure what would happen if both shows are renewed.

“It’s hard to really know,” he told Mashable.com. “I think it’s just going to depend what’s going to happen, when shooting schedules are and logistics mostly. It really is incredible to be part of two shows that have such wonderful powerful female producers and diverse casts as well.”

Check him out when “How To Get Away With Murder” debuts September 25 at 10 p.m.
