Atlanta MC Killer Mike embraced the sadness and anger of the situation in Ferguson last night during the opening of his Run The Jewels set with fellow MC/producer El-P in St. Louis. Mike made it clear that he fears for the lives of his 20-year-old and 12-year-old sons. He kicked off the show with a sobering message to those who choose to ignore the racial tensions and injustice: “We know you don’t value my skin.”

Mike’s speech on stage was filled with every bit of righteous anger and energy. Watch the clip above.

Run The Jewels is currently touring their latest project, “RTJ 2,” released on Oct. 28 through Mass Appeal Records. The US tour ends with two NYC city shows this weekend.
