Kanye West radio interviews have become a bit legendary, from his 2013 visit to the Breakfast Club to his epic “you ain’t got the answers Sway!” rant on Shade45, Yeezy always brings his best foot forward for the airwaves. This morning, Ye returned to the Breakfast Club to chop it up with DJ EnvyAngela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God about everything from his relationship with Kim Kardashian to the status of his new album and his latest sneaker release.

One of the biggest revelations from the sit-down however came with a scoop about the possibility of a collaborative album with Drake.

“I’m just going to go along and say because maybe this will promote it happening but the ‘Wolves’ song came from a conversation that me and Drake had, where we were going to do an album together and the album is called Wolves,” he said. “I asked him, we talked about it and he said yeah we was gonna do it. And actually he was sending beats back and forth and I got this one record with Young Thug that I’m gonna put on Rihanna’s album. I know I’m giving a lot of information.”

“I went to this Drake concert in Germany,” he added. “I flew to the concert to go see it, and he got this one line where he says something about people falling in love with famous girls and they don’t be working as much. So he rapped it, and he knew I was in the concert and he like looked down and stuff and he was right. I gotta get on my job. That’s why I got on trending of ‘Blessings’—’Hello I’m back.'”

During the interview, Kanye also opened up about his difference of opinion with adidas about the Yeezy 750 Boost drop.

“See I didn’t want them to be limited actually, that’s something that the company did,” he said. “I really want as many people to get them as possible. I don’t want to price to be $350. I don’t want to play like this sneaker culture game and all this so they be reselling this for high prices and stuff. I just want people have what I make. Like ain’t no limited release to College Dropout or limited release of Graduation.”

As for his latest headline-making-Grammy moment, West laughed about enjoying Beck’s album and admitted to not having listened to it before his nearly crashing the singer’s Grammy acceptance speech.

“The other day I went to dinner and sat down with Taylor Swift and ironically they were playing the Beck album,” he said. “I was like man, this is kinda good I ain’t gonna lie [Laughs]. I hadn’t even heard it [before the rant]. I bet you the album is really good. I’m gonna listen to and maybe it was potentially Album of the Year.”

Still, Kanye maintained that the album didn’t deserve the highest honors at the ceremony and addressed his role in the fallout from the moment.

“I got his number and I was supposed to call, but I just keep forgetting,” he said. “I felt good for him. Think of all the good stuff that happened to me in the last eight days. The person that won was Beck, because if I hadn’t done that, his Album of the Year would’ve never been mentioned…He should win an award for what he did—Rock Album—but he shouldn’t have won that award.”

As for the prospect of new music, Ye claims his upcoming album is “80% done” and laughed about throwing traditional release formats out the window.
