There has been a unicorn sighting. Actually, it’s Jay Electronica with a new track that everyone has been anticipating.

Fans have begged Electronica to release ‘Road To Perdition‘ with Jay Z for a while now, and unexpectedly they got their wish today. The song was leaked this morning, and rather than pointing fingers Electronica broke his Twitter hiatus to post the official version. Unlike his Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind track, there is no music from the 2002 movie that Perdition is likely named after. Having announced a tour of Europe and China earlier this week, the leak seems to be more than coincidental.

Jay Electronica’s rhymes on ‘Perdition’ shows why his debut album needs to drop already. With lines like, “you paid the cost to be a boss/nigga I paid the wager/master both sides of the force and made my own saber,” the track offers the lyrical greatness that he tends to brings in small doses. While Hov’s ad-libs are sampled on the track, Roc Nation‘s head honcho does not spit on it if you wanted to hear him. Which is not a problem as Electronica not only delivers, but leaves you wanting more at the same time.

Get your fix below and check out some of his performances from the past year. Maybe we can get an album from him, someday.
