Wale‘s fourth studio project, The Album About Nothing, has officially been released and is currently available on Spotify and and iTunes.

The project comes on the heels of his 2013 effort, The Gifted, which topped the chart at No. 1. TAAN, a 14-track collection, contains features from J. Cole, TDE‘s SZA as well as Usher and Jeremih.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Wale opened up about his public persona and why he cares so much about what people think of him. He also spoke about the way in which he wants his latest album to be received and how he believes he deserves more respect as an artist.

“I gave this my all,” he said. “This is my fourth album. I want some respect… I want people to be like, ‘Your album’s just as good as Kendrick [Lamar]’s or Esperanza Spalding or Beck.’ I work just as hard as them.”
