Fresh off the release of his Fly International Luxurious Art album, Raekwon chopped it up on The Combat Jack Show to break down the project track-by-track, and shared why he named the album F.I.L.A.

“It’s an expression for me, man,” Raekwon says. “I made many albums that have a lot of concepts but [with] this one I wanted to just do me, make it a lifestyle piece and still let everybody know [that I’m a] 20 year veteran that still knows how to get on that mic and indulge with what’s going on today.”

Later in the conversation, Raekwon spoke on why he decided to enlist A$AP Rocky on the album’s third track, “I Got Money,” produced by S1, aka Symbolic One. The Chef also likens the A$AP Mob to Wu-Tang Clan.

“I like him,” he says. “I like him as a person, too. I think he got bars. They got a movement uptown that reflects on how we used to do our thing. I see he about his team. I just felt like the track fit him.”
