It was a tough day in the T.I. household on this day in 2009, when he was scheduled to report to an Arkansas federal prison on 6 years ago. He was sentenced to one year and a day for felony weapon charges. At the time, he was one of the biggest names in music.

This was a major point in TIP’s career, and looking at the household family man persona he carries today, you would of maybe forgotten about T.I.’s legal woes in the past.

The following year he would release his certified gold album and merge into the reality show category staring in and , which really allowed him the ability to clean up his image on a national scale.

The following year he would release his certified gold album No Mercy and merge into the reality show category staring in T.I.’s Road to Redemption and T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, which really allowed him the ability to clean up his image on a national scale.

Even through T.I.’s legal troubles, he remains a veteran in today’s hip-hop culture and has been able to reinvent himself and continue on in today’s hip-hop market. He was able to clean up his image so much that he became apart of one of the biggest mainstream singles of all time, “Blurred Lines” and was named the 27th biggest artist of the 2000s decade. America loves a come back story, and that’s exactly what Clifford Harris continues to provide.
