Alex Rodriguez crossed a milestone on Friday night in a perfect way. He got his 3,000th hit off the Tigers’ Justin Verlander — of all people. Also, it was a home run. Derek Jeter and Wade Boggs are the only other players to get their 3,000th hit off a home run.
