After nearly eight months in custody, Bobby Shmurda (born Ackquille Pollard) is facing an even tougher road in the legal system.

Prosecutors say that Shmurda’s girlfriend attempted to smuggle a knife to him in Riker’s Island. As a result, Shmurda will face seven more years in prison on felony and misdemeanor charges of perjury, contraband and criminal possession of a weapon. He’ll plead guilty to all of them. His girlfriend, 18-year-old Kimberly Rousseau, will plead not guilty to promoting contraband.

Shmurda is scheduled to appear in court this October, where he’ll fight off a potential 25 years in prison stemming from drug, weapons and conspiracy charges.
