Nothing ever goes the way it’s supposed to go.

Last night the hip-hop world awaited Meek Mill’s diss track on Funkmaster Flex’s HOT 97 show… And well, we’re still waiting.

Nicki Minaj‘s ex, Safaree swooped in to save the day though, by dropping a Mill and Minaj-aimed record, called “Lifeline.” The track comes in response to Meek clowning Safaree because he was seen “twerking” in a dance contest from years ago.  It’s no laughing matter for Safaree, as he spits lines like, “This n-gga bent outta shape with a gorilla face/ My bars on ‘The Pinkprint’ no one will ever match/ My d-ck- print lil n-gga u could never match.” After Meek accused Drake of ghostwriting, Nicki might have some explaining to do now.

He cleverly raps, “you dream about Drake numbers in your nightmares,” a jab at the title of Meek’s debut album, Dreams and Nightmares.

Safaree also attempts to fat-shame Meek, saying “”I heard you told Philippe Chow you ain’t goin’ there … You outta shape anyway you need to eat a pear.”

Hopefully the pear line is a Rick Ross reference. If it is, he’s clearly winning this battle.
