A J. Cole concert is not the time or place for a shooting, but that’s exactly what happened Monday night (August 2) when the rapper performed in New Jersey.

Two men were shot outside of the PNC Bank Arts Center around 11:14 p.m., according to the New York Daily News. One witness on the scene say it all started over an argument, though the cause of the argument is unknown. Both men are currently in critical condition. From NY Daily News:

Another witness, Mike Lefanto, said he saw the two soon-to-be-victims speaking to a woman in the parking lot, “talking about her body.”

Out of nowhere, a man approached them and fired about seven shots, he said.

“He took those two dudes out right away,” said Lefanto, who was walking to his car with his 13-year-old daughter, Bella. “It looked like he knew what he was doing.”

A suspect has not been caught at this time.

J. Cole and Big Sean are currently together touring on the Forest Hills Drive Tour.
