Signing artists to a label and holding their albums hostage just may begin to become a thing of the past at the rate things are going in hip hop right now. More and more artists are coming forward to air out their frustrations with their record labels in public (whether on wax or on social media) and the end result usually means more press for the entertainer in question and more criticism directed at the money machines behind the music.
First it was Wayne vs. Cash Money and now Kanye and his G.O.O.D music empire is on the chopping block.
Fans of G.O.O.D music artist CyHi The Prynce have been looking for his album to drop since 2011 and he’s apparently just as fed up with the wait as they are. To put it lightly, the Georgia native comes out swinging with no filter on this heavy-hitting diss track, titled “Elephant In The Room” where he takes aim at Kanye before firing a few shots at some of his other G.O.O.D music labelmates.

Given that Ye has an album due out any day now and has already been on a promo run, popping up on various stages across the world throughout the course of this summer, we wouldn’t be surprised to see some type of response come from him once he gets word of this diss.
