The Game lit the streets ablaze with his first single “100,” featuring Drake and as he prepares to drop his album on September 25, he’s finally revealed the cover to The Documentary 2.

The black and white cover art finds The Game shirtless in front of a fence, with his shadowy head held high. The left side reads “The Documentary 2” in blue and the right is his name is red, representing the colors of the most prevalent gangs in LA, the Crips and Bloods.

When revealing the cover, Game also shared a lengthy message on Instagram detailing how he hopes to add to Compton’s legacy of great albums this year like Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly and Dr. Dre’s Straight Outta Compton.

“After Kendrick dropped his album, then Dr. Dre dropped #Compton then the movie doing 100 million after just 2 weeks….. This album will add to my cities continuous legacy !!!! I’m proud to be from #COMPTON & I wish #EazyE was alive to see us flourish yet again,” explained Game in the Instagram post.

The was shot by the famed Jonathan Mannion, who photographed his first album cover. It’s been 10 years since The Documentary dropped, which is regarded as a classic among hip-hop heads. Let’s hope the second coming is just as good.
