The group Destiny’s Child (DC) has come out of retirement – or maybe Beyonce has decided she is ready to sing with Kelly and Michelle again. Whatever the reason, the trio has released their first original song in eight years as part of a new compilation album of classic tunes entitled Love Songs. The new track “Nuclear”, produced by Pharrell, is a midtempo jam that showcases the trio’s harmonizing skills, proving Beyonce Knowles Carter, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams still have the chemistry that made them international stars at the turn of the century.

DC fans won’t have to wait long to see the group perform. Kelly and Michelle are reportedly scheduled to make an appearance during Beyonce’s halftime performance at Super Bowl XLII. It would be their first live performance in seven years. On Thursday (1/10), Beyoncé announced via Facebook that Destiny’s Child was releasing a new album.
