Mannie made the comments as a part of a new documentary chronicling the history bounce. According to Mannie, bounce embodies the essence of hip-hop. He said, “Bounce Music would be the essence of Hip Hop… It’s really just raw beats and response. Most [Bounce] artists will sell their own tape, their own merchandise, all of that.”
