Will Smith’s Brother-In-Law Arrested On Federal Drug Charges

Dee Lawrence Downs, who is married to Will Smith’s younger sister Ellen, was arrested on federal drug charges.

According to the Huffington Post, Downs was arrested on Jan. 17 and charged with attempted possession with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.  He attempted to buy 2 kilogramos of cocaine from an undercover officer.

Downs was indicted on Feb. 13 and pled “not guilty” to the felony charge against him. The 49-year-old  Downs was released from federal prison on Feb. 19, and is due back in court on April 15.
