Mourners are gathering tonight to celebrate the life of Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly. Kelly’s wake is currently being held at a funeral home in Atlanta, GA. Reports say that the instrumental version of “Jump” can be heard as friends and family walk in.

Friends and family members have been paying their respects to the Kris Kross rapper throughout the day. And TMZ, reports that although Chris wore his pants in his signature backward style his entire adult life, he will not be buried with his pants that way tomorrow.

Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith and Jermaine Dupri (who discovered Kris Kross) have not arrived to the wake.

Sources tell  TMZ;

“Smith is taking Kelly’s death especially hard and is still trying to pull himself together.”

Sources also say that inside the casket, is a sign attached to the lid of the coffin that reads:

“Cause that’s what I was born to do …”

Which were lyrics from the Kris Kross song “Warm It Up.”

The casket is said to have photos of Chris and Daddy Mac from when they were in Kris Kross as young boys.

There will be a small gathering at Chris’s house for family and close friends this evening.
