If you were a hip-hop head in the early ’90s, it’s safe to say you know every single word to Craig Mack’s only hit “Flava In Ya Ear (Remix).” See, the mere mention of the song just made you instinctively start rapping Biggie’s opening verse. While the song is one of the best posse cuts from the Golden Era of hip-hop, one thing has always made me scratch my head when the song plays; What in the world was LL Cool J talking about on his verse? Seriously, what in the world does “Hee-shee, uh blowticious/Skeevee, delicious” mean? Wonder no more.

When we met up with him in New York City, it was one of the things we asked Uncle L. According to him, it doesn’t mean anything. It was just something he and his friends used to say while hanging out. LL stated, “It’s just a sound effect. It’s something we used to say if you see a hot girl. We’d just be drinking and talking crazy.”

So after all of the time spent trying to decipher the mysterious opening line, in two seconds LL Cool J tells us we’ve been wasting time over thinking everything. Thanks, Mr. Smith.
