A statement was released today regarding the passing of Kidd Kraddick, a radio legend within the Dallas, TX area. He was not just a radio legend, he was a huge part of building the wildly popular TV show Dish Nation. His team was one of the last morning radio show teams standing on a show that started out with 5 original cities being represented. However Kidd Kraddick and his crew were so entertaining that they continued to make the cut with audiences week after week. He was extremely funny and did not seem to hesitate to allow his team to shine as his star rose.

Take a look below.

The official released statement ,

“All of us with YEA Networks and the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning crew are heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend and leader. Kidd devoted his life to making people smile every morning, and for 21 years his foundation has been dedicated to bringing joy to thousands of chronically and terminally ill children.

Kidd passed away today in New Orleans at a golf tournament organized to raise money for his beloved Kidd’s Kids charity. He died doing what he loved, and his final day was spent selflessly focused on those special children that meant the world to him.

We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and his colleagues. At the appropriate time, we will release more information about the cause of death.”

The “Dish Nation” staff expressed their condolences on Facebook saying:

“Twentieth Television and the team at “Dish Nation” are heartbroken and deeply saddened by the loss of a great talent and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his longtime radio crew during this very difficult time.”

Kidd Kraddick’s family also released a statement after his sudden death:
“We are all shocked and saddened by Kidd’s untimely passing.  At this time, we ask that you respect our privacy as we mourn and grieve our family’s tremendous loss.”

Said his co-star Headkrack of the Rickey Smiley Morning Show,

“Kidd Kraddick was a very focused and dedicated dude who put his life and energy into servicing the people. He always put community service above all things and was committed to the art of radio. He always had a kind word for me on and off the air and I always appreciated  that. My prayers and energy go out to his friends, fans and family.”

Kidd Kraddick was giving back to an important cause upon his passing which further says so much about his character. Our thoughts go out to the family, friends and fans of Kidd Kraddick and his associates. We are truly sorry for your loss.
