Not only did he not perform but his name didn’t appear on any of the liner notes. As much magic as Quincy and Mike had made together over the years, it seemed odd that Mike had nothing to do with those two projects. I hope that Quincy and Mike had good times in the years after before Mike’s left us.

There’s so much to learn from Michael’s untimely death; we should always show love to the ones that are most important to us, because none of us are promised tomorrow. Seeing Steve Harvey speak at Bernie Mack’s memorial service knowing that the two of them didn’t burry the hatchet before Bernie died reminds me of this situation Quincy might be going through. Let’s be sure we love each other, Black people.
