I thought the awards were actually better than i thought considering all the changes thay had to make to include the legendary MJ…But i havent liked bet in a while all the rest of the stations do as they please but the only and i mean only black station we have has to be so conservative we don’t even have a show that plays videos and entertainment worth watching all u see is re runs of soul plane are any other poorly made black movie BET let’s get it together…..confused

The entire awards was booty this year, from Young Money’s tasteless performance at a time when Michael jackson ws supposed to be honored, to Beyonce being half-naked and singing the gospel song Ave Maria, to Ciara and New Edition completely messing up Michael’s songs.

I beg to differ with Ciara, and I thought she did a great job. I’ll agree that Beyonce outfit should’ve stayed home. I’m always impressed with Monica, and that’s no surprised. That, the Ojays tribute, Ne-Yo, Maxwell, New Edition, and the I’ll be There rendition were my favorites. Janet almost made a brother cry when she spoke. What was Jay doing there? Why did hang Don hanging, where was video tribute to Michael, and was that really a tribute? Those were the only questions I’d like to ask.

the lil girls on stage were wayne’s kids. they didnt need to be onstage during that song, though you know young money does what he wants. i was just glad to see he wasnt carrying a drink in hand. beyonce couldve left that homemade hula dress at home! ciara should stick to dancing; her live vocals are garbage… monica stole the show and the tribute to the ojays was the shiznit!!!

OVER ALL I liked it and I feel like it was no way for them to have the awards and not make it about Michael HE IS THE KING. BUT SOME THINGS COULD OF BEEN BETTER. They really could have left the lil wayne and the “baby boy” acts out of the show….How do you do that much rapping and half of it is censored? As for Beyonce, I loved that version of Ave Maria and it was a fitting song for what the event represented.. a farewell to the Incomparable Michael Jackson….Neyo.. turned it out with “Lady in my life” he needs to record that…
