Nowadays, it’s not enough to just have one source of income, especially if you’re in the entertainment industry. Every actor must also be a writer, producer, singer, dancer, and whatever else they need to be to earn some money.

Actress Tatyana Ali has always embraced her other talents as a means of income. Back in 1998, at the tender age of 17, Ali dropped her debut album “Kiss the Sky” that boasted the hit song “Daydreamin'” featuring Lord Tariq and a pre-supercreep Peter Gunz.

Tatyana Ali hasn’t released music since that album and now 16 years later, she’s returning to her musical roots with a new EP called “Hello.” In effort to promote the EP, Ali went on “Arsenio” to perform the project’s lead single “Wait For It.” While the song is a catchy retracing of Donna Summer, Ali’s performance wasn’t all bad, but it wasn’t all good either. In spite of doing the brave thing and actually singing live, she was a tad off key in spots and her breath control could use some work. But don’t get us wrong, we love Tatyana Ali. We just think she can do better.

We know she can do better because we’ve seen her do better on various television shows and movies throughout the eighties and nineties. Check out some of Tatyana Ali’s best television performances that were better than her most recent.

“Why Do Fools Fall In Love” from “Eddie Murphy’s Raw” (1987)

In her first film role, Tatyana Ali got to show off her singing abilities as a young Eddie Murphy’s sister in the opening sketch segment of Eddie Murphy’s classic stand-up comedy special “Raw.” Despite the breakout star of the family being Eddie Murphy, his little sister is pictured to have given him a run for his money when it comes to displaying talent.
