The late night TV scene has been shuffling the cards of late. Jimmy Fallon took over as the host of “The Tonight Show” and it was just announced that Stephen Colbert will be replacing David Letterman on CBS’s “The Late Show.”  Talk show host Arsenio Hall decided to have some fun with the whole thing, insisting that Letterman wanted HIM to be his replacement when he retired. Speaking of late night. The multitalented singer/rapper/actor Drake appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and hit the streets of L.A. to punk some folks in disguise as part of  a “Lie Witness News” segment. The OVO CEO asked them fake questions about him hosting the ESPYS this year.

Last night The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame held its annual induction at The Barclays Center.  Nirvana, Cat Stevens, Peter Gabriel, Linda Ronstadt, KISS, the E Street Band and Hall and Oates were honored at a star-studded ceremony. Questlove of The Roots was one of the presenters and offered a heartfelt thanks to Nirvana on his Instagram page.

“Game Changers: in 1993 w/ the $uccess of Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, & Nirvana Geffen Records decides to open a black music department,” he wrote. “Their first signees are the GZA from The Wu Tang Clan & a lil band from philadelphia. Nirvana’s story plays a big part in the Roots journey from us getting sign to how we decided to handle the events of April 5th 1994…”

Thew new season of “The Boondocks” premieres on April 21st and a new song by Killer Mike was teased in the trailer. Now we get to hear the full clip called “The Boonies” produced by The Alchemist.  A Boondocks Season 4 mixtape drops on April 16th.

Lastly,  Pharrell joins Oprah this Sunday at 9pm ET/PT on OWN for a fun edition of “Oprah Prime.” Last fall, Pharrell Williams married model and designer Helen Lasichanh, his longtime girlfriend. Watch as he explains how Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Herbie Hancock all served as partial inspiration for the name of Pharrell and Helen’s 5-year-old son, Rocket.
