Where is Meagan Good from? Meagan Good is from Panorama City, California, where she was born on August 8, 1981. The future “Deception” star and her three siblings were raised mostly by her mother, who served as her agent in the early stages of her career. And Meagan Good did start young. She started appearing in commercials at the age of four, and that led to roles on a string of TV shows, including “Gabriel’s Fire” and “On Our Own.” In 1995, she made her Hollywood debut in “Friday,” and two years later, she appeared alongside Samuel L. Jackson in “Eve’s Bayou.”

Meagan Good has certainly transcended those Panorama City roots, and she’s now a major star — one big enough to cause controversy at awards shows. In 2013, after upping her fame substantially by appearing in “Think Like a Man,” she made headlines for wearing a super low-cut blue dress to the BET Awards. The reason Good’s outfit upset folks so much was that she was presenting the award for Best Gospel Artist, and what’s more, she’s married to Sony Pictures exec and Seventh Day Adventist preacher Devon Franklin. Good defended herself via social media and claimed the dress was no sin.

“I’m not any less holy because the dress I wore,” she wrote, according to NewsOne. “I may not be who people think I should be -but I’m morphing into exactly who God wants me to be.. My excuse is never “I’m going to do me” and I don’t feel that I need to make an excuse or defend or what I wore .. I know I have a responsibility -and I’m working daily to fulfill the full potential of all God has created me to be..”

The question of where Meagan Good is from is perhaps not as interesting as, “Where is Meagan Good headed next?” as NBC cancelled “Deception” in 2013. She recently completed work on “Think Like a Man Too,” and according to IMDB, she has numerous 2014 projects in various stages of completion. So as long as she mothballs that blue dress and stays out of trouble, she could be headed for superstardom.
