Producer Timbaland has had a banner year when it comes to being behind the boards. He has produced songs on some of the biggest albums of the past two years. He was the main producer for Justin Timberlake‘s “The 20/20 Experience” and he got placements on Beyonce‘s hit surprise album as well has Jay Z‘s “Magna  Carta…Holy Grail.” After putting inn the work for other artists, Timbaland recently announced the title of his upcoming album.

Timbaland told Revolt the name of his upcoming fourth project would be called “Opera Noir.” The album’s title comes from black culture. “It’s a culture thing. It’s the truth. It’s just about life in general. My life. My personal life, and I found myself as an artist and human being and as a man. I found who I am,” the super producer claimed.

Timbaland also categorized the album as his version of Dr. Dre‘s “The Chronic.” While Dre’s groundbreaking album boasted tons of features, don’t expect the same from the Virginia Beach native. There are only two or three features on the project at most. “Me and my new artist, her name is V. Just me and her. And Cee-Lo. That’s it. When [Opera Noir] comes out and you see the whole package, you’ll understand why. You’ll see it, and you’ll be like, ‘Wow, I’ve never seen nothing like this,’” Tim explained.

Before he announced “Opera Noir,” Timbaland told fans his next album following 2009’s “Shock Value II” would be called “Textbook Timbo.” However, things change. Will you be picking up Timbaland’s upcoming album when it drops?
