During the 67th Annual Emmy Awards last night (September 20), Apple premiered a new advertisement for their music streaming service, Apple Music.

The commercial, which was directed by Ava DuVernay, features Mary J. Blige, Kerry Washington and Taraji P. Henson discussing how they used to make mixtapes but now no longer need to thanks to Apple Music’s awesome genre and task-specific playlists.

The commercial ends with the slogan: “Instant Boyfriend Mixtape Service,” winning, right?

Now not only is this a dope commercial but it’s also a smart business move by the higher-ups over at Apple Music. The streaming service launched back in late June, meaning those free three-month trial periods are coming to an end and users will have to start paying $9.99 per month for the service. For those who are unsure whether or not to renew their subscription, this may just help sway their decision.

After the commercial premiered, DuVernay took to Twitter to reveal that it was the first of three new advertisements, with the remaining two scheduled to be released sometime this week.
