There wasn’t a dry eye in the house on Tuesday when Beyoncé closed the first leg of her Formation World Tour by paying her respects to last weekend’s murder victims in Orlando. While at the Ford Field Center in Detroit, she chose to make her closing number, “Halo,” dedicating it “to all of the family members who lost family members in Florida.”
Beyonce has probably always been the Mother Theresa type, but these days it’s becoming known to the public. Just earlier this week, the singer helped raise more than $82,000 for Flint residents who continue to deal with the city’s lead-tainted water supply. The tribute also comes in the wake of former “The Voice” contestant Christina Grimmie’s death after she was shot and killed while signing autographs at her Orlando concert.
You can always count on Bey to turn lemons into lemonade.
