Vibes don’t lie. Just ask Chazmere.
The Bronx recording artist and Talib Kweli collaborator just dropped his self-titled album, which includes standout tracks “10” and “NO B-SIDES.” The spirit, sincerity, and grit of hip-hop’s birthplace can be heard all throughout his raps, even over fluid cuts like “Something You Can Have.” Closely following the heels of Chazmere‘s release, the silky smooth jam is finally getting paired with chill visuals.
“Something You Can Have” finds Chaz setting up for an intimate kickback with friends, which starts with dinner and turns into a night of creating. As Chaz plays the keys, Amani Fela spits a verse, while others sketch, lounge, and wind down with some yoga. The night ends like most do in NYC, by escaping to the roof for a glimpse at the moon.
