Drake And Future Perform At Frank Erwin Center

Every once in a while, Drake proves to the world the he’s still got it when it comes to his acting chops.

The 6 God released his highly anticipated short film Please Forgive Me on Monday and it’s nothing short of an action-packed flick. The 23-minute film is inspired by his chart-topping album, Views, and stars the rapper with appearances by Popcaan, Fanny Neguesha, Soni Chidiebere and Kyla Reid. It reportedly was filmed in a single week in Soweto township in Johannesburg, South Africa, this July before the start of Drake and Future’s Summer Sixteen Tour.

Please Forgive Me was directed by Drake’s long time collaborator Anthony Mandler (who’s directed videos for Beyonce, Rihanna and many more) and includes seven songs from Views with original music from Noah “40” Shebib. Mandler co-wrote the exclusive Apple film with Apple Music Head of Content Larry Jackson, who also produced the film.
