Once two of the most premiere players on the hardwood, it appears that Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan‘s friendship isn’t what it used to be.

Barkley appeared on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stu Gotz” on ESPN radio Monday and talked about the picture that surfaced of he and Jordan last month. The photo shows Barkley, Jordan and Kenny Smith side-hugging after they ran into each other at the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame ceremony. But according to Barkley, their friendship isn’t truly healed yet.

“I love Michael. I miss Michael’s friendship. He was a great friend to me for a long period of time and I love him and miss him like a brother,” Barkley said. “I would love to mend that relationship, but we just happened to be at the same place and took a picture together. We are not back to where we used to be.”

He also revealed that prior to that photo, he hadn’t spoken to Jordan in years. The rift between the two Dream Team members came after Jordan retired and bought a stake in the Charlotte Bobcats. Barkley become very critical of every decision Jordan made as an owner.

“I think that Michael was upset by some of the things I said about the Bobcats – which, number one, they were true. I told you earlier, I’m going to be honest, and I’m going to be fair,” Barkley said in an interview with Graham Bensinger in 2014.
