@trisha_369 you got a point. And to the men who say that under no circumstances should a man ever put his hands on a woman, let me ask you this: what if your life was in danger? What if you were unable to walk away? What if she came at you with any kind of weapon? Would you be able to restrain yourself then or would you lose your life just because you don’t believe in hitting a woman?

Now I know the reported situation was nothing like what I just asked, and in no way do I promote domestic violence. But we need realize that men do indeed get abused by women, but are unwilling to admit it because of the standards society has set: the man has to be the strong one, the woman is the weak one. Personally I think both should be held responsible, they are both adults (although they didn’t act like it) and two wrongs don’t make a right.

A man beating a woman and yall fighting are 2 different things. I dont believe 4 a minute that Chris just beat on her, I just believe they were 1 of those couples that fight and make up. Where was Rihanna last month when it was Domestic Violence Awareness month or sumthin like that? Perfect timing dear-ur album’s about to drop! Rihanna’s jealous ass was knocking the hell outta him 2, he just didnt have any bruises plus both of them had been drinking cuz they had just left the pre-Grammy party. I wish the both of them much success but they need 2 drop this cuz its always gonna b one-sided.

People are so quick to judge and hop in their business we fail to see than anyone who has been in a relationship has suffered some type of abuse. Whether it was physical, emotional, spiritual, verbal or mental. Her and Chris might love each other, but their relationship wasnt built on love. There wasnt any trust or loyalty whatsoever. First of all, I wish we would understand what LOVE is. What we have done is taken our selfish, self-centered LUST and mistaken it for LOVE. Love is selfless, lust is selfish. Love is letting the other person be who they are, Lust tries to control and change a person. Love is giving, kind, patient and longsuffering. Lust is taking, harsh and impatient.

That is nothing wrong with LOVE. What Rihanna should have said was, F LUST. Love is God and anybody in an abusive relationship is NOT in a LOVING relationship but a LUSTFUL one. Love is NOT blind, LUST is blind because all one can see when they are FULL OF LUST is what they want.

I hate to hear people confuse these two. However, deception is the enemy’s greatest weapon and with it comes destruction. I wish Rihanna and Chris the best and hope they both come into the TRUTH of what love is and IS NOT.

My sister lost her life to her ex, who she thought was so in “love” with her. Love does not take, it gives. Christ gave His life for us. We need to WAKE UP and get a clue.

kenglover, you are absolutely right. Sad thing is I see MORE WOMEN defend Chris abusing Rihanna than I do men. That just goes to show you what kind of society we live in and how many women have low self-esteem and self-worth! This behavior is UNexcuseable and UNacceptable. However, “IF” Chris has learned from this ordeal and is genuineley sorry I wish him nothing but the best and hope that he has grown behind this. After all, if you don’t learn from your mistakes you are doomed to repeat them!!! Love RiRi and glad to see she is back to the world :) .
