Goodness. Do some of the people below me even read? Most of the people on this lists were groundbreaking and their would be no Fatima, Tiger, or Jay Z without these people. Most of the people in this list contracted it from blood transfusions and are cited as examples of why the new testing methods came in the first place. However, it doesn’t matter how they got it, they died from a horrible disease. The best thing most of you can do is float along on your wing and a prayer because you don’t even take the time to educate yourself beyond the first three lines of a gossipy article, instead of reading about things that directly affect you. Learn Something!!

I can’t believe alot of your posts. Geniune displays of pure ignorance! 1st and formost, everyone is just 1 unprotected sex partner away from contracting HIV. It has nothing to do with someone’s sexual orientation. Whether you’re married or single. Unless you actually go to the clinic with someone, you never know what a person has. old they proly died of old age they didnt list white people
because the list would be too long.
oh and wrap it up i know some people out here that are
sleeping with any and everybody and they know they got something
and they dont care, so before u sleep with somebody thats too
easy, wrap it up, i know this because i was cool with this one girl
and i already knew she had something before she even asked to go
there with me. she didnt care she didnt know that i knew what she had,
she was still trying to sleep with me. i found out through some of her friends that she was bragging about giving it to people. and her friends didnt tell me, i knew before they did. threw a guys friend that messed with her and he got it, it wasnt aids but it was a vd.

and she was still trying to have sex with me all the while knowing she had what she had and wouldnt tell me she had it, she didnt care i would have just been another victom. I think its genocide, and I think its a cure. Just 2years ago they had a Doctor up in canada(a black woman doctor)that
Bill Clinton & Donald Trump were both supporting that had came up with a jell for woman to use before sex that would prevent them contracting AIDS/HIV but we don’t hear about it any more…what happen? I think its a serious matter, and it scares me to speak about it personally. I lost 2 uncles and a cousin from aids.

This Brings back so many memories of friend’s who moved on to the next life! That singer who made, “You Don’t Have To Take Your Cloth’s Off,” I use to gas on him because, “We Dated The Same Man,” How Ever! Jermaine $Paid$ to take his cloth’s off & I use to LOVE when Jermaine Came to Town & hire my friend as a Body Guard because after Jermaine got his services my friend would take me shopping, etc., great memories & I’m glad these day’s there is treatment which can extend folk’s lives & the overall general public is aware of what is out to be infected with if one does NOT use protection!!!!

In the early 90′s and before, testing procedures for blood used in transfusions were pretty much still in the infant stages and not done at all at some places which when these people and many others were infected. This stuff doesn’t happen today unless a technician screws up.

I like many of you think it is a shames for those caught up in the AIDS cemetery. Gay or not it equals death, period. Yes a few stars I didn’t know about but so what? SAFE SEX! Anybody ever hear of it? Many of these deaths could’ve been prevented even if it meant only putting on a condom. Those who contracted it through transfusions…is an out right murder. Heck look at Magic Johnson & his rich self. Seems HIV free doesn’t he. We’ve come along way since Easy E, but ignorance still surrounds safe sex. Raw feels better, lol. I was shocked about Intro though dang I didn’t know dude was Bi and I was recently watching the Predator back to back movies on t.v. a few months ago and didn’t know dude had died of AIDS dang that’s real sad and scary and it’s rapidly growing you just don’t know who to trust nowadays.

At the time that Arthur Ashe and many others received blood transfusions, AIDS screening was not mandatory. Blood screening didn’t become mandatory until the late 1980′s/early 1990′s after a record number of people had contracted AIDS died from blood transfusions. So they didn’t forget about Arthur or the other guys, they were just victims of circumstance.
