L.A. Reid Getting Fired From Def Jam?

The rumor mill has been buzzing quietly for awhile about this for awhile, but it looks like L.A. Reid may be getting fired from his position as Chairman and CEO of the Island Def Jam Music Group.

According to Bossip.com Antonio “L.A.” Reid may be getting the boot due to the below-expectation sales of Rihanna’s Rated R album, as well as the controversial seven-figure deal he recently made with Shyne.

Reid came to Island Def Jam in 2004 after spending several years at Arista Records.

If this does turn out to be true, Maybe L.A. can go back to drumming for his old band, The Deele…

    Say it ain’t so. No really what’s going on here? Where is the stability over there in Def Jam Land? The record business is a mess of cliche’s and bad decision making. No offense to Shyne but we are balling way over our budget here in America and then there’s the bootleg virus that I am happy to say I’ve been vascinated from. Let’s fix these Issues CEO’s.     I got to agree with 16-22 the video is hilarious lol man them 80′s had some good songs but thank god the Prince/Michael look went out of style. Didn’t he have his own label at one point?

    I hope they fire him at defjam,he has single handedly destroyed that label, turned it into a pop music label when it used to be a rap music label, i miss the old defjam, when it came to r&b ,they had defsoul, and the artists used to get proper promotion, but now look at defjam today, ne-yo,dream and rihanna are the new face of defjam, back then when kevin lies and lyon cohen were heading the ship, they had labels like roca fella,murder inc, artists like public enemy,gosh even methodman used to make good noise back then but now he aint getting the promo he deserves,2007 was the saddest case, check out how they ignored freeway’s ‘free at last’ album and beanie sigel’s ‘solution’…..L.A Reid must go
