She might have brought her on stage to sing a tune in 1999, but Whitney Houston doesn’t remember much about Stacy Francis. The pop megastar and the X-Factor contestant reunited while at the pre-Grammy event, Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love of R&B. A source told The Hollywood Reporter that after Francis performed a tribute to the late Etta James and Houston joined Kelly Price on stage, the two spotted each other in the VIP section. The source says, “It didn’t seem like Whitney remembered her, but she was cordial at first.”
Then Whitney’s friend, Ray J, came along, and joined the convo. That’s when a eyewitness says that “Whitney just got belligerent.” And then: “Ray was trying to defend Stacy, telling Whitney, ‘Stacy’s family!’, but Whitney was feeling crowded out and hands were raised.” Although no hands were thrown, the source says at point, “You didn’t know which way it could go there for a minute.” Francis wouldn’t confirm the specifics about the incident, but did tell the publication, “I have the utmost respect for Whitney Houston and her talent.”
