When Chris Brown rapped “Look At Me Now,” some fashion critics didn’t like what they saw. The British version of GQ magazine has crowned the singer the worst dressed man on the planet. Clearly they never say Lil Wayne in his jeggings.

It’s a wrap for Beats By Dre and Monster, because the two companies will sever their relationship when their contract expires at the end of this year. Beats Electronics and Monster Cable Products say there aren’t any hard feelings about the split, but the word is, there is tension.

According to reports, both sides think they are responsible for the success of the headphones, and they weren’t able to reach mutually agreeable financial terms.

It was only a matter of time before the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals got wind of Dr. Dre’s Beats By Dre limited edition collaboration with fashion house Oscar de la Renta (Oscar and Beats by Dre). The headphones are covered with fox fur.

PETA very kindly asks the legendary producer not to use animal fur on his products anymore. “You have many fans here,” they write–after first stating that they’re an extremely well-supported organization. Read the rest of the letter below:

Dear Dre,

I hope this message finds you well. As you may know, PETA is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 3 million members and supporters dedicated to the protection of animals. You have many fans here.

We’re writing today after reading about your new fox-fur headphones design with Oscar de la Renta. We wanted to get in touch to urge you to keep fur and exotic-animal skins out of your Beats by Dre designs. Foxes, minks, rabbits, and other animals—including cats and dogs—are bludgeoned, genitally electrocuted, strangled with wire nooses, drowned, and even skinned alive for their pelts. Most animals killed for their fur are slaughtered in China, where there are no penalties for those who abuse animals on fur farms.

Kanye West Launching Design Company Named After Late Mother

Yeezy World Peace has a plan to fix the economy. Kanye West interrupted a soliloquy on his twitter account about Grammy Awards outfits to share some actually interesting news. The rapper/producer and amateur DJ announced that he was launching a design company named after his late mother.

“I have started a new company and I’m so excited about the name,” he wrote. ” It’s got the best name ever of all companies of all time!!! The name of the company is DONDA.”

DONDA, named after his late mother Dr. Donda West, is a design company that will, according to West, “galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…”

West wrote that the company will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to “make products and experiences that people want and can afford..” West ran of a long list of positions he will be looking to fill, including nutritionists and DJs.

“I want to put creatives in a room together with like minds that are all waaaay doper than me,” he added. “We want to help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel. To dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need. To marry our wants and needs. DONDA.”

Kanye West’s mother Dr. Donda West died on November 10, 2007 due to complications from cosmetic surgery. She was 58 years old.

This year TheUrbandaily.com celebrated the style and influence of Black men with our first annual G-List. During our on site festivities at Frank’s Chop Shop we asked G-Lister D-Nice about a vintage piece of 90s style–his leather from the “Self Destruction” video.

“I got that made by Dapper Dan,” he said of the iconic hip-hop fashion entrepreneur from the 90s. ” I always liked that style and look. I used to bring it out in the summer time at our shows. It was hot!”

As for 2011, the DJ, photographer and videographer should be releasing more of his True Hip-Hop Stories videos very soon.

” I shot about four of them,” he says. “I have one with Heavy D. I’m always DJing and I like to edit the stuff myself because it’s so personal.”

Eyebrows are an enigma in men’s grooming because if you take care of them properly the idea is for them to go unnoticed. Anytime someone can comment on your eyebrows you’ve either done too much (“three cuts in your eyebrows tryin’ to wild out” ) or not enough (“? I moustache you a question.”) So here are some quick tips to taming the unibrow and keeping the focus where it matters.

1) Washing your face is important because there are more oils concentrated in your forehead/ eyebrow area.

2) Get comfortable trimming your eyebrows first using a tweezer, trimmer or razor. The Gillette power razor also has a precision trimmer on the back of the blade. Thickness of hair varies so you should test to see how much you need to cut first in a small area before going all in.

3) Avoid using a depilatory because you don’t want those chemicals near your eyes. Plus it’s hard to get precision without a blade or tweezer.

4) If you’re taming a unibrow, tweeze in the direction of the growth. Start at the center and pluck outward. This makes it easier to manage the amount of space between the eyebrows.

5) Brush periodically to make sure you haven’t trimmed too much. The only thing worse than unibrow is looking like this.

6) Once you have sufficient space between the brows, check to make sure your brows are of even thickness. How thick is personal preference, but remember the first rule: Your eyebrows should never be a distraction.

7) Apply something to your skin like the Gillette series conditioning balm after you tweeze, clip or shave the unibrow.

So you’ve finally gotten your mustache and beard to connect. Congratulations! But now you have to maintain it. Even more than a mustache or beard alone, upkeep on the “east” and “west” coast of hair around your mouth takes a steady hand. Here are some quick steps for making sure you are the G.O.A.T of the goatee.

1. If you’ve just washed, dry your face before you begin. Wet hair is longer and when it dries you may find you’ve trimmed too much. You don’t want to look like Charlie Chaplin when it’s over.
2. Comb your mustache straight down with a fine tooth comb. Use either the beard trimmer or scissors to trim. For a really close shave try Gillette’s Fusion Proglide razor. Start in the middle and trim first towards one side of the mouth, then towards the other. If you have clippers with a guard start with the 1/8″ or 1/4″ to see if that length is low enough for you. Adjust accordingly.
3. Use an edger like the T-Outliner or your clippers without a guard to shape the goatee. Trim away from the hair so you don’t shave off too much by mistake. A good rule to follow when trimming a mustache is to follow the natural curve of your top lip – every mouth is different, and you want your mustache to match your face.
4.Don’t contort your face to get a closer trim! You want your hairline to reflect how your mouth is at rest, not tensed up. So unless you walk around pointing with your lips all day keep it relaxed.

Entree is more than a brand, its a lifestyle. Created in 1999 by two friends who printed designs on t-shirts and selling them out of their parents trunk. Entree Lifestyle has come a long way, the brand has gone from being rejected by many store buyers to selling out completely. Entree is currently making their presence known in the fashion world by serving some of your favorite artist in the music industry. Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Dipset (Jim Jones, Juelz Santana), Bow Wow, Wacka Flocka, Lloyd and many more can been seen wearing their designs. Jazzy F. sits down with Henry Li, one of the two creators to find out what Entree lifestyle is all about.

How did Entree Lifestyle clothing begin?

I started off with 5 t-shirts. I was still in college at the time. I was working a part-time job, and my partner was working. we would just meet up after work and screen print t-shirts — it wasn’t even a brand; there was no brand. It’s like kids saying “I have a record deal.” They don’t really have a record label, it’s just them and their boys making music. I had a vision and this was the vision (for it to be like this), and we’re still growing. Did I know for sure it was going to be like this? No. I’m very fortunate to still be doing this right now. Your typical entrepreneurial type story: started in the basement, went from five shirts and started selling throughout the neighborhood. I took those shirts and kept on doing it, kept going door to door, store to store trying to sell my stuff and they would turn us down. We’ve been through all that stuff. And now we’re here; we are a brand, we are supporting those lifestyles and we are in those doors and we’re in a lot of accounts.

What inspired you to get into fashion?

I’m a mid 90s baby. Where I came from, a lot of cats were rocking a lot of vintage Ralph Lauren and North Face — that was the era I came up in. There was no street wear — street wear was clothing, it was brands that were regular American brands, and the streets took it and made it into something. So I was always into the style of how my jeans were, getting these certain sneakers and we had our own little thing going on in our borough. So I wanted to serve that message to the world. Hence the name ‘Entree’ — we’re here to serve, we’re trying to serve what I feel like is Hip-Hop and what street wear should really be. It should be clean, and it should be fresh. I’ve always been very heavily into the dressing and the fashion of Hip-Hop. So I took the opportunity to create my own brand.

What made you guys infuse street art into your designs?

We’re from Brooklyn, and we grew up writing Graffiti, and that was our element of Hip-Hop. My talent lies on the graph, and I incorporate that into the brand. We’re a Brooklyn based company started in 2006. We really felt like there was no genre that we have, that we’re offering right now; we’ve got something different. Our brand speaks for itself. When the whole world was doing something else, and from the business aspect, to play it safe you may want to make the same similar stuff to whatever’s selling We didn’t go with that. We did what we felt was good. And when we were coming out, that’s why we have one of our slogans, ‘misunderstood’, we were misunderstood; they didn’t really understand what the brand was about, and that’s what really separates us from everybody else — we don’t really follow what’s going on; we are creating our own path and creating our own fan base and doing what we love and transferring that into our clothes.

Would you consider Entree Lifestyle a urban brand?

I actually don’t really like to use the word ‘urban’ because when you use the word ‘urban’, you tend to pigeon-hole yourself. We’re just in the business of making clothes. We are a clothing line and we embrace the streets.

What does fashion mean to you?

I’m speaking on behalf of me, Henry: My definition of fashion is “be yourself.” The clothes in my closet is my costume. Who I’m going to be today is what I’m going to wear. Clothes don’t change you, but they certainly make a statement. I’m all about comfort. The swag gotta be on point. But the main thing is don’t be a follower, and wear what you want to wear. Be true to yourself and that’s fashion.

Do you think that Entree is portraying the lifestyle to the fullest?

We are living that lifestyle right now. We still are the real people. We didn’t change. Nothing changed. I still do grassroots marketing, we still put up stickers, we’re still doing illegal street art — we practice what we preach. We’re not faking the funk. We’re living the lifestyle we’re trying to sell.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to step outside the box of the trends?

Trends will always be there. If you’re a rebel of the trends, be yourself. Start your own trend. Don’t follow the trend because you’ll never gain respect that way. Nobody will ever take you seriously. We have a saying in the skate community: posers. You don’t want to be a poser. If you’re not a skateboarder, don’t walk around with a skateboard. It all comes down to being yourself.

Dressed in their best Kanye hit up the purple carpet in a white blazer and Stubbs & Wootton slippers. Kanye West‘s new line of scarves feature artwork from his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The scarves prominently feature artist George Condo’s artwork.

The scarves are set go on sale Monday and are limited to 100 of each design. They will retail for $365 a piece and will be sold exclusively through French boutique Colette, Chicago’s RSVP Gallery, and online on M/M (Paris)’s website.

Being a music fanatic, it is essential for me to have quality equipment to listen to my music with. I am constantly seeking the best headphones to compliment my I-Pod and find myself going through constant expensive trial and errors to identify the most efficient accessories.
