Chris Brown’s Probation Won’t End Early

Despite an attempt to finish early, a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge decided on Thursday that Chris Brown’s probation will continue as initially ordered. Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, reportedly argued that his client should be allowed to finish supervised probation early, on account of good behavior. Judge George Lomeli felt differently and ruled that Brown will continue to report to a probation officer in his home state in Virginia.

Since being sentenced to five-years probation over assault charges he secured in the beating of then-girlfriend, Rihanna, the night before the Grammys in 2009, Chris Brown has completed a yearlong domestic violence program, anger-management classes and nearly half of the community service ordered by the court.

She might have brought her on stage to sing a tune in 1999, but Whitney Houston doesn’t remember much about Stacy Francis. The pop megastar and the X-Factor contestant reunited while at the pre-Grammy event, Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love of R&B. A source told The Hollywood Reporter that after Francis performed a tribute to the late Etta James and Houston joined Kelly Price on stage, the two spotted each other in the VIP section. The source says, ”It didn’t seem like Whitney remembered her, but she was cordial at first.”

Then Whitney’s friend, Ray J, came along, and joined the convo. That’s when a eyewitness says that “Whitney just got belligerent.” And then: ”Ray was trying to defend Stacy, telling Whitney, ‘Stacy’s family!’, but Whitney was feeling crowded out and hands were raised.” Although no hands were thrown, the source says at point, “You didn’t know which way it could go there for a minute.” Francis wouldn’t confirm the specifics about the incident, but did tell the publication, ”I have the utmost respect for Whitney Houston and her talent.”

Viola Davis Says Certain Mindsets Destroy Black Artists

Last night Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer had an intense debate with talk show host Tavis Smiley over criticism The Help has received. Davis told Smiley flatly, “That very mindset that you have and that a lot of African-Americans have is absolutely destroying the black artist. The black artist cannot live in a place—in a revisionist place—a black artist can only tell the truth about humanity and humanity is messy, people are messy.”

She also said, “We as African-American artists are more concerned with image and message and not execution, which is why every time you see your images they’ve been wanted down to the point where they where they are not realistic at all, it’s like all of our humanity has been washed out.”

The “dream” that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke so eloquently about had come to fruition.

President Obama kicked off his 2012 reelection campaign with this popular speech at The Apollo theater where he sang a few notes of Al Green’s classic, “Let’s Stay Together.”

Music mogul Russell Simmons has taken up a new cause. He is protesting cow milk as New York’s state beverage. Stop laughing! Simmons is dead serious. The Def Jam founder recently wrote a letter to New York’s governor, Andrew Cuomo, explaining how milk made from rice, soy, and almonds is better for the body than cow milk. Though dairy farms bring in a lot of money for the state, the change in milk could push new businesses. The money made from a different kind of milk could replace any money New York has lost.

Simmons and Cuomo have a history of working together. The pair worked to have New York’s strict drug laws modified. Cuomo nor his office has responded to Simmons’ ideas. Would you rather drink cow milk or soy? Does anybody still drink milk anymore? Share your thoughts.

They say there is no honor among thieves, but is there any loyalty among rap crews? If you ask Nate Dogg’s former manager, David Michery, there isn’t an ounce of loyalty in the rap game.

Was The Premiere Of The “N*ggas In Paris” Video The Biggest Of The Year?

Yesterday, The Urban Daily reported how Nate Dogg’s estate had to pay Nate’s medical bills totaling near $300,000. CareMeridian facility sued the singer’s estate over an unpaid bill from 2010. The facility stated David Michery guaranteed payment, but still hasn’t forked over the cash. Michery says he did promise the bill would be paid only because none of Nate Dogg’s rapper friends would pitch in to help pay the bill. In a statement given to TMZ, Michery offered, “I was the only person who would come forward because I didn’t want him to die. Me and Nate have 20 years history together and I did what everyone should have done and tried to save his life … not let him get kicked out in the streets and die.”

Warren G, who recorded the seminal “Regulate” with Nate Dogg, responded to Michery’s claims, “I rode with Nate ’til the end … I did what I could do for him with other things financially. If I was able to pay for his hospital bill, I would have. I made several calls to numerous people for help. I love Nate … he’s my brother.”

Who do believe in this situation? The more important question is what are rappers doing with their money that most of them are dying penniless?

TMZ reports that after speaking with Football Wives star, Chanita Foster, about her charity, Beyond The Game, Monyetta decided to cover the living expenses of 48 children in Switzerland. Monyetta was only supposed to cover maybe one or two, but she fell in love with every child she say and insisted on adopting all of them. Each kid costs about $30, which means she’s offered $17,280 to cover each for a year.

As evidenced by the recently released extended trailer for the upcoming season of Basketball Wives, Jennifer Williams finds herself a target of scorn from her ex-friend, Evelyn Lozada, and her former assistant now working for Evelyn. Speaking with Vibe Vixen, the fiancé of the man soon to be known as Chad Johnson once more says it’s all Jen’s fault.

Evelyn swears the issue ended her friendship with Jen will be made clear in the fourth season. As for the fight between the old assistant Nia and Jennifer, she declared, “When the show airs and the story fully comes out, you will see what happened. Nia is not only my friend. Nia was friends with Jennifer for eight years.”

As for insults about Jen wanting to be white, she doesn’t feel bad in the least. Evelyn said: “I would be lying if I said I did feel bad. That’s me… And she does have contacts [laughs]. I don’t feel bad at all.”

Once upon a time, the head of rapper Marcus Manchild‘s label, AMG, told him that he “rapped weird.” About three years later the 22-year-old from Houston was prepared to face a notoriously fickle crowd at New York’s S.O.B’s night club. Any butterflies in his stomach were probably pickled in vodka, but the nerves persisted. This is no country for weird rappers.

“I’ve performed before with a different type of crowd at the Best Buy Theater during Smokers Club but with this type of crowd….They’ll boo you. Quick,” he says recalling the show the next day. “And that’s what they kept telling me. If you didn’t get booed then it was a success.”

Well, Marcus didn’t get booed. In fact, the show went really well. Bringing out hometown hero Paul Wall didn’t hurt, but Marcus held his own. As it turns out, weird is the new black. Or purple.

“In my eyes, it was amazing. Just to come up to New York and see a packed out house and never performed in front of that type of crowd. So I go out and they start rockin’ out with me, even if they weren’t super rockin’ I could tell I had their attention.”

The former High School point guard is aware that he’s in a whole new game now, but he’s ready to play. His remix of ASAP Rocky’s “Purple Swag” is a defiant reclamation of his hometown’s hip-hop legacy. Being influenced by his city is fine, but he’s got a firm grip on the Houston torch and isn’t letting it go to just anybody. Check the video to “We Wrong” featuring Slim Thug for proof.

“There a lot of legends out from Houston…you got Scarface, Bun B, Slim Thug and all them and they made a name for themselves and made an image for Houston that you can’t let down,” he says. “Can’t let the people down.”

The video for “N***as In Paris” hit the internet moments ago and while the world tries to avoid having a seizure, some were busy counting how many Illuminati references in the four minute clip.

Pop Culture Moment #6: Jay-Z & Kanye West “N*ggas In Paris” [VIDEO]

Jay-Z and Kanye can deny their membership in the secret society all they want, but we can still speculate. After reading about all of the Illuminati imagery theories in the comments of several posts, The Urban Daily wanted to highlight some of the supposed Illuminati images found in everyone’s favorite track from Watch The Throne. Mason Symbol – Obviously, there’s no need to explain the Freemason symbol. It makes an appearance on more than once. Though Freemasonry isn’t directly associated with Illuminati, they wind up being grouped together in most instances. Jay and ‘Ye made sure the Freemason symbol was displayed. Lie and say it isn’t.

The Vitruvian Man- In the middle of the video, you can see a mirrored image of a lion’s head. On the surface, there isn’t much to talk about. However, you can see a figure similar to Leonardo da Vinci’s sketch, “The Vitruvian Man.” He was also speculated to be in the secret society. It might not be a direct reference, but if you’re in a secret organization, indirectly referencing something is the highest form of flattery.

Baphomet – If you’ve never heard of this, allow me to school you. Baphomet is a pagan deity which is popular in occultism and Satanism. The image often is mistaken as the devil, but in truth, it’s the representation of both male and female. The phrase “As above, so below” comes from Baphomet. the Throne try to disguise it as scene filler, but everything is strategically placed in music videos.

Suge Knight Arrested For Smoking Weed In His Car!

If it isn’t one thing it’s another with Suge Knight. The former Death Row Records CEO can’t seem to stay out of trouble these days. Knight was arrested after a routine traffic stop, police found some marijuana in his black Bentley. Cops ran Suge’s information and discovered he had multiple warrants for minor traffic violations. He was cuffed and taken to jail where he was processed and released a short time later.

This could spell serious trouble for the rap mogul. He is currently on 3 years supervised probation for driving with a suspended license. You know how the justice system is. If you violate your probation, it’s a wrap for you with no questions asked.
