Son of George Clinton Found Dead In Florida

Funk music legend George Clinton’s son, George Jr, was found dead in his home in Tallahassee yesterday afternoon. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office was called to his apartment building at 12:30pm after a maintenance man entered George Jr’s apartment after not seeing him for several days and found his body.

Authorities were initially unable to provide a positive ID on the body due to decomposition.  Detectives later were able to positively identify the body as George Clinton Jr.

Foul play is not suspected.

    This is a terrible story and I hope there isn’t any foul play attached to his death. When did they find his body because his father was just seen on the Grammy Award Sunday and he looked as if he was enjoying himself. Did he know about his son being found dead? I send my prayers and condolences out to George Clinton and his family.

    WOW! My condolences to George Clinton. Such a tragedy after seeing George Clinton in the audience at the Grammys partying to learn his son has passed on days later.

    Thats sad to hear, hopefully there is no foul play like a MJ or AN situation, my heart goes out to his family and anybody thats going through this right now.

    First rigor mortis sets in then the decomposition of the body. This takes place with all deceased bodies. Being in a closed area speeds the process.
