Don’t look at these celebrity sentences and get the wrong idea about the repercussions of carrying an unlicensed fire arm in New York. Bloomberg is out to get as many people behind bars as he can. 1 year is an extremely light sentence considering the gun was loaded (probably with hollow tips) and he has priors. There are kids getting the mandatory minimum on plee in New York of 3 and a half. So i think it sends a bad message to young kids bout the repercussions of your actions. Not to mention this is a felony change not a misdemeanor like in some other states. You get caught with a gun in new york with no priors you get 3.5 minimum and a felony on your record so look at it like that not this plaxico and wayne s**t you see in the news. Hopefully by the time lil wayne and lil boozie get out we will have gone back to real rap. I dont see lil wayne or alot of these BS rappers lasting more than two to three years more. I feel sorry for people following lil wayne like he’s God. The one positive aspect is at least it will be less dummies in the Genepool. I completely agree with this comment. Their lyrical aspect of music will continue to hold our youth back and even some elders. People hate to admit it, but the lyrical content of 99.9% of their music plays a role in the surge of youth violence everywhere. Furthermore, what knowledge is being dropped? None. Is anyone learning anything or advancing in any positive way in their life? No. What is spit out of their mouths is how to live loosely with your body, treat women with no respect and blow all your money on unneeded items. Don’t get me wrong, I know a lot of rappers use their skill as a way to vent and bring the rest of the world into the fold of life that is lived in a lot of our cities and ghetto’s, but WE GET IT NOW. Lil Wayne does have very good lyrical abilities he just needs to be molded for positivity and pointed in the right direction=== and not just what makes the most money. Come on Weezy, you can be The one or one of few who can put Hip Hop back on it’s pedestal. I feel T.I.P is headed in that direction. Does anybody care anymore?
