Pastor Barbara King said it best when she said that “here’s an example of someone trying to change their life and is being judged by his past.” Even though I go to church, i can honestly say that this is probably one of the top reasons why a lot of people DO NOT go to church. If more churches would just focus more on what a person’s got on the inside than what they have on the outside or how much money they can contribute to keep that particular church’s lights on or bills paid or pastor’s Cadillac gas tank full, this place we call America wouldn’t be such a bad place to be!

It actually wasn’t the church that cancelled the event. It was the school officials. I am not a hip hop fan by any means at least not anymore. I also think DMX is off his rocker, is in need of help and was reaching out to do something positive. People have done far worst things than what DMX did and have been forgiven. (Senator Edward Kennedy’s car accident which killed his secret lover and the cover up that followed, Robert Blake who murdered his wife and got away with it, OJ Simpson, Oh, I forgot they found a way to lock him up.) This isn’t about DMX or any message he delivers. It is and has always been about race. On top of that it was a Fox news affiliate that broke the story. (FOX News=Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck =Racists)So it is not the Hypocrisy of “Christians” It is the hypocrisy of the school officials who may be christians but most likely are of a certain “Persuasion”. The same people that protest Mike Vick for mistreatment of Dogs, but seem to overlook Ben Roethlisberger’s propensity to mistreat white women.

Most of these church folks are hypocrits and freaks. The Winan family here in Detroit are under investigation for scamming church people out of $11 million with a Saudi Arabian shiek. From all the posts I’ve read, most of you have gotten the wrong perception about who cancelled the fundraiser and furthermore, gave ear to the enemy about church and church folks. The “SCHOOL” cancelled the “CHURCH FUNDRAISER BECAUSE DMX WAS APPEARING!” The church obviously has embraced the brother and used him because they thought he’d bring revenue for their cause. There’s always an excuse for why you’re not attending church or why we shouldn’t be thinking about the racism that still exists. DMX does have to prove himself because of his past, but only to God almighty. The african american church community has open arms for any lost soul but its the continous committment after the fact that he’s been rejected that will tell the story. Will he walk away and say “f*^@& being in church or will he walk the path of righteousness in spite of! As a christian, I would be skeptical of the messengers of God’s word but I’m sure the church wouldn’t have booked him to perform if it wasn’t the word of God being delivered or something positive. We want to find fault in the issue but truly there is no right and wrong, has put out a gospel album to prove he’s not going to get up there and say kill em hit em hard? The church might know that he’s a renewed man but in the public eye, until he drops something that proves otherwise, they don’t know. I was once a big hip hop fan, but our music has other meaning now and there are satanic messages within those words that we allow our kids to listen to. It’s not a race thing or church folk thing, it’s protecting our kids! I LOVE DMX and when I heard that he had decided to dedicate his life to the Lord, I was rejoicing….I look forward to hearing some hip hop gospel from this mighty man of God. From what I am reading here the SCHOOL cancelled the event not the church so why all the hatred against the church?
