Lil Wayne Going To Jail Today

Today is D-Day for Lil Wayne, as he will be formally sentenced and finally turns himself in to begin his one-year prison sentence in New York. Wayne was supposed to go to jail last month, but Wayne had dental surgery which delayed the sentencing. Judge Charles H. Solomon said recently that “I don’t want this to get pushed back anymore. This is the last adjournment.”


Wayne will appear before the judge Tuesday afternoon and plead guilty to gun possession. He will most likely spend his entire year behind bars at Riker’s Island in New York City. Before he gives up his right to be a free man, @LilTunechi sent out his goodbye tweets:

    It’s about time. Criminals belong behind bars. I hope he can sober up in there. I know they can sneak drugs in and he’s a celebrity, his money will make ppl do anything for him. But I really do hope he sees that violence, crime and thuggin will make you either die or lose your freedom. I hope this is a reality check for him.

    Other than that just another black man in jail.

    I hope he sobers up and gets his mind right, read some books, or soak up game from the old heads up in there or sumthin….and hope nobody remembers that kissing stuff….. God willing this experience transforms him for the better, coals 2 diamonds type s**t……

    Am I the only one that noticed, but after the crips sent a death threat, a lot of pics, including the video of his guest, he is wearing a lot of blue? Is this intended to defuse his gang activities for the white collars or peace time toward the rival gang?
