British import Estelle is hard at work promoting her latest album, All of Me. One of her many trips has landed her on the digital cover of Vibe Vixen where she is garnering attention for defending Chris Brown and his decision to record music with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

As everyone knows, Rihanna and Chris Brown blatantly stirred controversy when they decided to record a pair of remixes for each other. While some fans began bashing Breezy for assaulting Rihanna again, other celebrities have come to his defense. Estelle defended Brown to the magazine, choosing to speak on his talent and artistry rather than his personal life. The “Break My Heart” singer also believes parents need to raise their kids and stop looking to celebrities to do it for them. Check out an excerpt:

” I feel like Chris is an incredible singer, musician, dancer, entertainer, and brain box as far as business and that’s why I respect him and that’s where we meet at because I have nothing else to go on.”

”I get it, I understand, and I get the effects for young women. I can’t speak on it because I wasn’t there. Parents, raise your kids. Young men and women, raise your kids. Don’t let us raise your children. That’s my take on it,” she explains. “I respect him, I love him, he does amazing music, and has evolved. He’s worked his ass off, so why are people still crucifying him?”
