As if it couldn’t get any worse for Geraldo Rivera after his crass remarks about the Trayvon Martin case, Rivera revealed his oldest son, Gabriel Rivera, was ashamed of his views on Trayvon Martin. Geraldo blamed Martin’s death on the fact he was wearing a hoodie.When slammed for his controversial remarks, Rivera tweeted, “Its not blaming the victim, Its common sense-look like a gangsta & some armed schmuck will take you at your word.”
Gabriel Rivera reached out to his father in an email and blasted him for his comments. Gabriel ended his email by telling his father how ashamed he was of him. After reading the email, Geraldo tweeted, “My son just wrote me to say he’s ashamed of my position re hoodies-still I feel parents must do whatever they can to keep their kids safe.”
After all of the ridiculous things Geraldo Rivera has said, it’s nice to see someone around him still has a little bit of sense. I mean didn’t Geraldo get his nose broken a few years back for making outlandish remarks like these?
