White House Press Secretary Jay Carney shared President Obama’s sentiments about the tragic loss of Whitney Houston over the weekend. Carney said, “I know that his thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her daughter,” referring to 18-year-old and Whitney’s only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown. “It’s a tragedy to lose somebody so talented at such a young age.” The day after her mother was discovered dead in her room at the Beverly Hilton, Bobbi Kristina was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital and treated for stress-related illness. A source told TMZ that she was “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.” A separate source close to the family says select members are concerned about Bobbi Kristina in the aftermath of her mother’s death and are considering options on how to help her cope safely.
