First the Fat Boys break up now this! It’s confirmed that hip-hop power couple Nas and Kelis are about to be a wrap. Kelis, who’s 7 months pregnant with the couple’s first child, has reportedly filed the necessary paperwork today which will initiate the divorce proceedings with the iconic rapper with whom she’s been married to since 2003, according to the document, which cites the “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Where has the love gone?!?
A spokesman for Kelis, who it seems never legally took her husband’s last name, confirmed the divorce with VIBE stating, “I can confirm that she has filed for divorce. We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.”

I pray that the man and wife who famously stormed the Grammys with controversial N-word T-shirts can get like these guys and work it out. Hey, if Jay-Z and Nas can do it I have hope that these two can make amends. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
