This dollar amount isn’t based off of record sales. Hell if it were, then those figures could possibly lose a zero. These artists’ aren’t making there money from albums sales. Jay-Z not only owns his own record label, he also manages, he’s responsible for marketing, executively produces all his and his artists’ albums, but he also has partial ownership in a Professional sports team. Diddy, the same but minus the team and add the shows. everyone else on the list, not so many avenues when it comes to generating more money. Look at it like this, rappers don’t even make $1 off album sales. I repeat, rappers do not even make $1 off album sales. They are paid with the change. Something to think about the next time you see “MTV Cribs”. If you do so happen to watch it, pay attention to the difference in the houses(not homes cause they’re not the artist’s) between rappers and rock stars.
