Dr. Dre’s Son Died From Heroin, Morphine Overdose

According to several sources, Twenty-year-old Andre Young Jr. died of an accidental overdose of heroin and morphine, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

The case was subsequently closed after the young man’s death was ruled an accident.

Young’s mother, Jenita Porter, found him unconscious in his bedroom in their Woodland Hills, Calif., home on the morning of Aug. 23. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

    That is sad in any case to lose a child. Yet it is hard to grasp the ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE. I’M CONFUSED. It’s hard to lose a child but once they come to grip wit Dre Jr. was an addict I’m sure it’ll be even harder.

    I for one am very saddened by this news, we are losing so many of our people to drug overdose…drugs period. WHy does younger generation think drugs are so cool?? We need to get the word out that losers do drugs, we need to give our children a way out, so that they know saying “NO” means staying alive. You heard?

    God bless and comfort Dr.Dre and Jenita for the loss of their son. I don’t know how I would feel to loose my child,but I feel a great saddness for them. God is with you both and he WILL COMFORT YOU and that HE HAS YOUR SON IN HIS ARMS.My prayer and my love are with you both. Keep your heads up and know that God is with you ALWAYS.     How and Why are they saying this was an accident? These are illegal drugs that you have to go out and purchase. It’s not like your every day medicine that you keep in the medicine cabnet. My prayers go out to Dr. Dre & family

    My prayers goes out to the family. We are not sure why he was taking drugs but this problems touches everyone and it has no class level boundaries. If at all possible in our so called busy lives we really need to make time foe our children and hopefully teach them the drugs is not the answer and that Jesus Christ is!! Where is God in Your Life?

    When anyone dies like this child did, they had to know that taking drugs is like playing Russian Roulette. No one dies from an accidental drug overdose unless they were trying to kill themselves. Other than that, someone could have administered the deadly c**ktail to him. No one knows but God. Plenty of prayers go up for Dr. Dre and his family. May we all learn a lesson from this tragedy and protect our children even though we can’t be with them 24/7.

    We are always INTERESTED(NOSEY)in what happened how why trying to find out about someones TRAGEDY or circ**stance like it will make us better people for KNOWING well that is NOT the case. What
    makes us BETTER PEOPLE is PRAYING for one anothe in the times of TROUBLE& DISTRESS!!! This man & his FAMILY LOST a CHILD and there is NOTHING that takes PRECIDENT over that NOTHING!!! So STOP with the WHY THE HOW THE QUESTIONS they are doing that ENOUGH to THEMSELVES DON’T try to LAY BLAME THEY ARE DOING THAT TOO.     this happened way back in august? then why is it listed here like it happened recently? i dont know how they determined it was an accident. how does someone accidently overdose on morphine and heroin? are you tryin to tell me he WASN’T tryin to kill himself? then what the hell was he doin with it? was the guy a drug addict or did he have a serious medical condition prior to his death? it makes a big difference. its too bad dr. dre lost his son though. for all i know he couldve overdosed because he was depressed that he he never heard from dad that much because he was so busy with puttin together the album which he still hasnt released yet and i have no idea when he will, if he ever will. ive pretty much given up on waitin for detox to come out. i thought it wouldve been out back in 04 or somethin.
